Bournemouth is now home to one of the prettiest restaurants in Dorset.
Giving the feeling of being in a swanky London bar and offering great views of Bournemouth Square, you can come in, relax and enjoy a cocktail or even try the famous hanging kebabs.
Here is a guide on what to look forward to when visiting The Botanist.

Situated on the fourth floor of Bobby’s department store, you are instantly transported into another world with the beautiful interiors.
Everywhere you look, beautiful displays and foliage create a fun atmosphere, making you want to explore.

Even a peaceful running stream throughout and a pretty bridge offer some great areas to take photos and add to the ambience of the restaurant.

There is ample seating with many cosy spots for romantic meals or family gatherings.

The abundance of greenery and foliage, eclectic furniture and ambient lighting make The Botanist a must-visit, whether you want to try out the menu or enjoy a few drinks.

A beautiful roof terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail or two whilst overlooking the town.
When the sun is shining, there’s nothing better than relaxing with a friend, grabbing some lunch and enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant.

The menu is bursting with a wide variety of starters. Pictured above is the Mezze Board, Garlic & Chill Prawns and Crispy Panko Halloumi.
The flavours are amazing, from the crispy toasted sourdough dipped in the garlic chilli sauce and the fresh tzatziki and hummus.
You’ll be licking your lips and scraping every last bit out of the pot.

The main event doesn’t disappoint, offering a wide range of options on the menu that provide plenty of choice to please everyone.
The house burger is bursting with flavour and comes with a good-sized portion of chips.

However, a visit to the Botanist isn’t complete without trying their famous hanging kebabs.
Choose from chicken, Harissa Lamb Kofta or Panko Halloumi.
The kebab is Instagram-worthy, tastes great, and is a favourite among customers.
Of course, kebabs and burgers aren’t the only thing on the menu; you’ll find dishes such as Bowls of Goodness, 8oz Sirloin Steak, Haddock & Chips and more.
🍽️ Sunday roasts are also a big hit with lots of delicious flavours and bottomless Yorkshire puddings!

Dessert shouldn’t be overlooked at The Botanist, it has it all, from melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookie dough and ice cream to The Botanist Sharing Plant Pot Pud (pictured above).
Other items on the menu include Raspberry & Vanilla Cheesecake, Sticky Toffee Pudding and many more.
Your mouth will come alive with the gooey, sweet tastes, served in attractive ways such as cute plant pots with shovel spoons.

Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 4-7pm. Head down and enjoy a few drinks after work or a busy day shopping in town, or take advantage of their ÂŁ8.50 lunch menu.
Live music is regularly played, providing entertainment during your visit.
The Botanist is a fun, fresh and ‘blooming’ great experience. From the lovely interiors and furniture to the great food and views, it’s a brilliant addition to Bournemouth’s restaurant scene and is helping put the town back on the map.
