There’s something special about being out in the countryside at night with less light pollution and the millions of stars sparkling in the sky.

This traditional Moroccan-style yurt is the perfect accommodation to experience just that.

With a skylight for you to stargaze from inside in luxurious comfort.

Here’s what to expect when staying in the Stargazing Yurt in Lytchett Minster.

Airbnb

Nestled within 20 acres of parkland on an award-winning caravan and campsite, Lytchett Manor, this yurt has everything you need for an affordable yet stylish stay.

With a feeling of home away from home, the yurt has a welcoming and comfy feel to it that makes you want to dive into the comfy king-size bed and relax in peace.

The accommodation sleeps 4 (2 adults and 2 children) with 2 single futons for children to sleep on.

Airbnb

The skylight gives you the perfect opportunity to view the starry night sky but brings in lots of natural light during the daytime.

Remember to bring an eye mask if you’re not a fan of light coming through in the morning.

Airbnb

There is plenty of seating in this open-plan space for families to gather around, play games, read books or watch some TV. Wifi is also available.

The yurt is handmade and made from sustainable ash hardwood. Decorated in a Moroccan style with patterned and textured furnishings and warm, rich colours throughout.

Brass and copper lanterns give low, romantic lighting. Embroidered rugs and soft furnishings such as cushions, throws and pouffes also match the Moroccan theme.

The gas-controlled log burner provides warmth during chillier stays.

Airbnb

The small kitchenette area gives you some space to prepare meals. You are advised to bring your own cutlery, glasses, plates and anything you may need for eating and preparing meals.

However you have use of a coffee machine, 2 ring hob, charging point and a small fridge.

Airbnb

There is enough space for everyone, and no need to feel boxed in and cramped. The king-sized bed is the perfect place to relax during your stay.

Bedsheets, duvets and pillows are not included, so remember to pack your own.

Airbnb

The bathroom facilities are shared, and there is no toilet or shower in the yurt. However, the facilities are clean, and there are lots to use.

Outside the yurt, there is a picnic table for guests to use to dine alfresco. A laundry service, dishwashing areas, and a well-stocked shop and bakery are on the site for you to use to stock up on food and essentials.

There is also lots to do in the surrounding areas of Bournemouth and Poole, including country pubs such as St Peters Finger close by.

Airbnb

Nature trails, an adventure playground and lots of outdoor adventures can be had when staying in the star-gazing yurt.

It’s a fantastic experience for all the family and one that is sure to relax you. Being set on a campsite gives lots of opportunities to make friends and socialise.

This hut has the perfect mix of traditional nomadic living and modern comforts.

With luxurious furnishings and cosy surroundings, it’s the perfect spot for a few nights away.

Children will love camping out, and adults will love the homely feel. It’s a great place to stay for the whole family.
