Welcome to Dorset Explored, where we share our love for this beautiful county in southwestern England.
We’re Alan and Harriet, two lifelong Dorset’ers who grew up exploring the beaches and countryside of Dorset.
Now, as adults, we’re still just as in love with this county and want to share its hidden gems with you.
During the pandemic, when international travel became more difficult, we started exploring our local area more and were amazed at how much natural beauty and fun activities were available right in our backyard.
We soon realized that we didn’t need to travel far to have adventures and discover new things.
As we continue to explore, we’ll be sharing our favorite spots in Dorset, from picturesque coastal walks to hidden historical sites.
We’re both massive fans of the National Trust and love visiting the amazing places they have in Dorset.
