Nusara Westbourne

“Nusara Thai is my restaurant of choice”, Thai Ambassador

Nusara is taking Dorset by storm with its brilliant fusion of Thai flavours, taking traditional recipes and creating modern dishes that blow you away.

Step inside the modern restaurant, bringing you a touch of Thailand and a relaxing environment to spend time with your nearest and dearest.

Recognised by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Nussara is one of just a few UK restaurants to earn the Thai Select Signature 2-Star Award — their top-tier honour for authenticity, elegance, and standout service.

Ensuring that every meal you enjoy at the restaurant is authentic and stays true to Thai culture.

When entering, you’re warmly welcomed into a space that celebrates good, tasty food.

The helpful staff are knowledgeable and engage in conversation whilst offering friendly service, much like the service you find in Thailand.

The first Nusara restaurant was established in 2020, thriving during one of the most challenging times for the hospitality industry, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns.

Did You Know?

Nusara was created by the award-winning team behind Koh Thai. After selling the brand in 2016 — and watching it sadly fall into administration in 2020 — founder Andy Lennox brought the original crew back together, including Acorn Award winner Sophie Cox.

The name ‘Nusara’ is a tribute to Nusara Padungwong, the very first Thai chef Andy hired back in 2009. Today, she’s Executive Chef, leading a talented kitchen team alongside her husband Thammanoon. Together, they’ve built more than a restaurant — they’ve created a culinary home. A safe haven. A place to take Thai food to the next level.

🇹🇭 There are currently four restaurants, located in Westbourne, Poole, Christchurch, and Wimborne.

The menu is bursting with traditional and fresh new takes on beloved dishes, some of which have been passed down through generations.

For any Thai food lover, it’ll be hard to decide on what to order, each dish looks exceptional and ignites all the senses from the delicious smells to making your taste buds come alive.

🍛 The chefs have been cooking for over a decade and have even served Thai royalty.

The favourites on the menu include Pad Thai, Green Curry and the delicious Boozy Duck (which we highly recommend btw!).

Thai food is renowned for its vibrant flavours and colourful dishes, and Nusara executes that perfectly.

There is a range of menus to choose from, such as à la Carte, Lunch and children’s menu, as well as a selection of Thai desserts, such as the Banana Fritters (pictured below).

🍴 Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are available.

You can also enjoy Thai Tuesday- which is two courses for £22 from a select menu. Or visit during lunch (12-3pm) for a great deal on a one, two or three-course menu.

Events and themed evenings are also worth looking out for, such as Valentine’s evenings, kids eat free deals, and Mother’s/Father’s Day specials, among others.

Nusara is the place to visit for authentic tastes and a great atmosphere. With four restaurants to choose from, all offering the same experience, you’re sure to be itching to return again and again.

Whether you’re a lover of Thai cuisine or a Thai novice, you won’t be disappointed after your visit. Enjoy!
