Pamphill in Wimborne is the best place to visit during spring when the Bluebells are all thriving and cover the woodland floor. There is a beautiful walk in the woods full of photo opportunities and scenery so pleasing on the eye that you’ll love every minute.
There is a small car park at Pamphill Green, a large field surrounded by woodland that can be enjoyed by everyone, whether it’s for a picnic or spent playing games with the children on a warm summer day.
Walking through feels like something out of a fairy tale, and especially if visiting with children, you can let their imaginations run wild with tales of the ‘fairy woodland.’
Visiting during springtime after a long, cold winter is good for the soul. Looking at all the blossoms on the trees and listening to the birds brings instant happiness and something money can’t buy.
Reaching the end of the woods, you will come across Pamphill Dairy. A place that everyone should know about!
There’s quite a lot to explore when visiting Pamphill Dairy.
There’s the Parlour Cafe, serving fresh homemade food, a butcher’s and a beautiful farm shop.
The cafe offers locally sourced ingredients, including meat from the butchers. The menu consists of breakfasts, roast dinners, sweet treats and more.
There’s seating inside and outside and a lovely play park for the children.
The farm shop is one of the best around. Selling a large range of locally sourced goods.
There’s an array of colourful seasonal fruit and vegetables.
The shop promotes being eco-friendly by having refilling stations where you can fill up on cereals, pasta, oats and other staples in your kitchen cupboards. There is also the added touch of refillable cosmetics, such as shampoo and soap, that you can purchase.
You can also buy a very cute glass refillable bottle to stock up on your bathroom goods.
Not only that, there is a large selection of locally made wine and ciders, frozen ready meals from the fantastic ‘Cook’ and freshly made scones that sell out quickly as they’re delicious and everyone wants a taste!
There are lots to choose from, mostly local produce and items from small independent businesses.
The Butchery prides itself on using the very best meat provided by its own farm.
There’s a large selection on offer, and the butchers are friendly and always happy to help you out with your meat needs.
The added charm of Pamphill is the small independent businesses dotted around the estate. Such as the pet shop Nurturing by Nature. Specialising in raw dog and cat food. The best kind of food you can provide your much-loved pets. The shop also offers other pet products and toys for your furry friends.
The Nest is a stunning lifestyle shop offering clothes, homewares, gifts, bags and more. The shop is beautiful, and you won’t be able to resist checking it out or treating yourself!
There’s also a hairdressers, picture framing service and a fabric and craft store!
The courtyard has plenty of parking and an overflow car park for busier times, and parking is free.
The area has lots to see and there’s even a cute little book hut, pick a book and pay 50p!
If you’re a milk lover you can pick up the freshest local milk around at the milk vending machine. You can buy a bottle, fill it up and visit as many times as you want for a very reasonable price.
You can also try Pamphill Dairy Ice cream, made with the freshest ingredients and the Allen Valley Milk from the local dairy.
This is a real gem in the heart of Wimborne and you can spend a lot of quality time in the fresh air, enjoying food just how it should be – organic, fresh and locally sourced.
Children and dogs are more than welcome, and the staff are friendly and serve you with a smile.
