Imagine waking up to the sound of alpacas grazing just beyond your window, with a stunning backdrop of lush Dorset parkland. This isn’t just a dream—it’s what awaits you at this extraordinary luxury shepherds hut.

With its spacious layout and plush amenities, this shepherds hut goes a step further than the typical shepherds hut experiences. It’s designed with an expansive feel, featuring a large, separate bathroom that frees up the additional space within the main living hut.

If the idea of a peaceful, serene setting appeals to you, and the company of 18 cute alpacas sounds good, then this idyllic retreat is made for you. Nestled in the countryside of Dorchester, Dorset, this little slice of heaven offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

📍 Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 9NH

The luxury hut is on a raised decking area next to the field.

Inside the hut is very spacious because there’s a separate large shower/loo a few steps away.

You have a cosy indoor dining area for eating inside.

Have you ever dined alongside alpacas? There’s an outside area that has a table and chairs for alfresco dining, and it’s a cool place to chat with your neighbour Alpacas.

You may even see the 3 rescue chickens roaming about outside.

There’s a little kitchen area that is well-presented with an induction hob, fridge/freezer and microwave.

There’s a wood burner in the corner to keep you warm on those cooler nights.

The large shower/loo hut is just a few steps away from the main hut. This is exclusive to the guests.

There’s a large shower which you don’t get with most huts.

And you get a real working loo! No slumming it here.

You can go for local walks, which can be directly accessed from the hut.

Say hello to the Alpacas. Funny-looking animals, aren’t they?

You can also do Alpaca walks on Wednesdays and Saturdays (this is a paid activity).

If you do stay there, let us know what you think, and also if you made friends with the Alpacas 🙂

Born and raised in Dorset, I've lived most my entire life in Poole and Bournemouth. I have a deep appreciation for my local area and a passion for travelling. The best hikes for me are in the pouring rain—there's nothing quite like it!
