Ojo Rojo (pronounced Ock-o Rock-o’) in Bournemouth town centre is a buzzing and vibrant restaurant offering traditional flavours of Mexico. Giving you fresh, locally sourced ingredients and explosions of flavour with their delicious tacos and award-winning cocktails.

You’ll be amazed by the delicious flavours, the fun atmosphere and friendly staff.

Not forgetting Taco Tuesdays with its simple but amazing menu bursting with colour and flavour…a perfect mid week treat!

Location📍: 106 Commercial Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5LR

The restaurant has three areas to dine in. The downstairs bar, cosy upstairs dining and the amazing outdoor area called the ‘Hacienda.’

Dining in a restaurant with a pleasing aesthetic makes the experience much more fun.

Everywhere you look there are beautiful displays and rustic furnishings. Giving the place a relaxed and fun-loving vibe.

The menu has no starters and mains and is designed to replicate Mexican street food. Making meal times a sociable event.

Classed as Mexican Tapas, you choose a selection of dishes and the food comes as and when it’s ready. You’re meal is spaced out and gives you plenty of time to enjoy the food, drink and conversation.

Ojo Rojo holds ‘Taco Tuesdays’ every Tuesday evening. Offering up a choice of tacos with deals such as 2 for £17 and premium tacos.

You can choose from a choice of sides, such as nachos or corn ribs, to accompany your meal and just go with the flow. If you feel like ordering more, go ahead!

There’s no rush and the staff are really helpful and always on hand for a chat about the menu.

Who says you have to stay in during the week? Make Tuesdays fun, and you won’t have to do the washing up!

You might think having a simple menu limits your choices, but there’s something for everyone, and each item is tasty and far from simple.

Taco Tuesdays aren’t the only special evenings. Quiz nights, 241 Thursdays and a DJ at the weekends are held here and keep the place fun, and there’s something for everyone, whether you want a peaceful meal on the weekday or some lively entertainment at the weekends.

Ojo Rojo is not only famous for its great tasting food, but it’s also a multi-award winning cocktail bar, becoming the number 15 cocktail bar in the UK, being in the top 50 cocktail bars in the UK three years in a row and the best tequila cocktail in Britain 2021.

Specialising in some of the largest and the best collections of spirits in the south west.

If you’re a cocktail fan, then this alone will make you want to visit this beautiful bar and restaurant.

Visiting Ojo Rojo isn’t just a trip to a restaurant. It’s a great experience; an incredibly cool atmosphere and very friendly staff on hand make this the place to go on your next night out.

Have fun on Taco Tuesdays, dine with a DJ at the weekends, or if that’s not your style, have a relaxed meal on a quieter day. There is no other place like it in Bournemouth town, and you’ll be happy to try something new. Enjoy!
