Picture yourself waking up in the tranquil Kirkwood Park Golf Centre.

Location and Accessibility

Swanage Bijou Camping is a little slice of paradise right in the middle of Swanage.

It’s tucked away within the lush greenery of Kirkwood Park. And the best part? It’s the nearest campsite to Swanage Beach, and you’re just a quick 10-minute walk away.

Plus, don’t forget you are just a short walk away from Swanage Steam Railway Station – a perfect starting point for discovering the town.

Accommodation Options

Swanage Bijou Camping has two key options for you:

Bell Tents: For those who like camping with a bit of glamour, check out their Bijou Glamping bell tents. They’re kitted out with all the stuff you need for a super comfy glamping getaway.

Camping Field: If you prefer old-school camping, they’ve got a spacious flat camping field.

It’s also a dog-friendly site, and they’re cool with campfires too. It’s got that real genuine camping vibe that so many folks love.

Plus, they’ve got fun on-site stuff like pitch and putt, footgolf, and Frisbee golf.

If you’re feeling peckish, head over to the Snack Shack, and the kids can go wild in the playground right next door.

Something that I also like is there’s no cars on the camping field so it’s more peaceful that having cars coming and going and having radios on etc.

And don’t worry; they provide wheelbarrows to move your tent from the car park to the camping field.

Born and raised in Dorset, I've lived most my entire life in Poole and Bournemouth. I have a deep appreciation for my local area and a passion for travelling. The best hikes for me are in the pouring rain—there's nothing quite like it!
