Weymouth Sculpture Trail is a collection of six artworks located around Weymouth.
Local artists created the sculptures with the theme of water and the town’s maritime history and environment.
This trail lets you explore different parts of Weymouth, and you may discover places that you’ve never seen before.
It’s a great activity to get you outside for an adventure.
The art pieces are all out in the open to the public, so it’s a great way to spend time with your dog and loved ones.

The Levels
The Levels by artist Raphael Daden is a porthole-shaped window facing out to sea. Found along the promenade, this unique piece of art is based on rising sea levels.
It’s made from stainless steel and filled with resin in different shades of blue.
An inscription reads, ‘The levels are changing, so must we’
This is a stand-out piece of art that is beautiful to look at and makes you think about the impact of the rising sea levels.

Reef Dwellers
Reef Dwellers, made by artist Ben Russell, are three stone-carved sculptures based on the species of coral reef that can be found in Weymouth Bay.
Made from Portland stone and situated in a raised flower bed on the promenade, these large, beautiful stones are a lovely feature of the seafront.

Constant Bearing
Constant Bearing by Denman and Gould is an interesting and beautiful work of art situated in Bond Street Square.
Made of polished Portland stone and etched with intersecting lines based on navigation charts.
Not only is it attractive, but the stones also provide seating, making it a great meeting spot.

Duel
Nestled in Hope Square, you’ll come across five stone-carved barrels with two dualing crabs sitting on top.
This art piece is made by Alex Evans.
The crabs are made from bronze, and the barrels are made of Purbeck stone. It also serves as seating for passers-by to take a break and relax.

Time and Tide
Time and Tide by Nigel Ross is a beautifully sculpted bench made from a single fallen oak tree.
Its shape is to represent the waves of the ocean. It seats 4 people and is the perfect spot to sit and watch the boats sailing by.

Apparition
Apparition is a unique work of art by Steve Geliot. It’s an art installation that offers a digital experience as well as a physical one.
The six panels are photographs printed onto steel and can be found under the Swannery Bridge.
If you scan the QR code located on one of the panels and download the free app, you’ll be amazed by a storm happening before your eyes, complete with sound.
An interesting and unique addition to Weymouth.
