It is bursting with the most beautiful scenery and wildlife, is an easy trail and is suitable for most abilities.

Evershot is a beautiful part of Dorset and offers lots in the way of natural beauty. Here are some of the sights you’ll see along this beautiful hike.

Melbury House. I’m feeling Downton Abbey vibes!

One of the most notable parts of this walk is coming across Melbury House. A breathtaking Grade I listed English country house.

The house is closed to the public. However, it doesn’t stop you from admiring the beauty of the mansion.

💡 Evershot is a small village with around 200 inhabitants. Very little has changed over time, and it shows with the beautiful thatched cottages and pretty buildings. The village is most famous for featuring in Thomas Hardy’s literature, most recognised in ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’

Just your everyday magical moment—deer doing their thing in the countryside!

If you’re lucky enough, walking around the estate, you might spot some deer. A unique, magical and fascinating animal to come across on a hike.

Dogs must be kept on leads when walking around any of the animals you see along the way.

This quaint thatched cottage is the perfect picture of English country charm.

This hike with the deer, mansion and quaint village feels like you’ve stepped into a fairytale. The pretty thatched cottages are a lovely addition to the walk.

Neigh-sayers can’t deny this view is awesome!

Horses add to the fairytale feeling, and the beautiful countryside is the perfect backdrop for your hike.

This hike is said to be very muddy during wetter seasons, so suitable footwear is advised.

Quaint little lodge by the lake—perfect for that Instagram snap.

A picturesque fishing lodge sits by Lucerine Lake. A pretty spot with great views and great photo opportunities.

The countryside surrounding this hike is a mix of forest, vast open fields and natural walkways. The terrain varies throughout from pavement, mud and stone paths.

That’s a beautiful-looking stream!

A pretty stream runs past you. There are lots of spots to sit, listen to the running water and take in the natural beauty of the area.

The beauty of this hike is that it is an easy trail, making it perfect for families to enjoy.

If walking with small children, you can ignite their imaginations with tales of trolls under the bridge and the princess in the mansion.

There are a number of rivers, streams and lakes throughout this hike. Children and adults alike will love playing ‘Pooh Sticks’ off the bridge.

This little guy knows all the best spots!

As well as the cattle, horses and deer, this walk has other wildlife to explore. Butterflies are a calming and beautiful find, adding to this pretty walk.

You’ve earned you’re self a cold drink! Treat yourself!

No matter which way you travel this circular route, you’ll end up back where you started.

In the village, you can reward yourself with a cold drink or bite to eat at The Acorn Inn. Another famous Thomas Hardy spot and a great place to relax after your hike.

This walk is a beautiful, peaceful and enjoyable trail. With little in the way of ‘modern’ facilities and buildings, it’s like stepping back in time.

A magical hike that’s suitable for all the family, with amazing views and interesting points to explore.

Thanks for reading, and have fun!
