The beautiful town of Shaftesbury is famous for being featured in a 1970s Hovis bread advert of a young boy delivering bread up the cobbled streets of Gold Hill.

It is a popular spot for visitors with its quaint high street and beautiful surrounding countryside, making it a great day out.

Nestled within the town, you’ll find the restaurant and takeaway Nest. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy unique food and a friendly atmosphere.

Established in 2020 by two friends who love everything food-related, Nest has been a favourite place to eat for customers since then.

The owners together have over 40 years of hospitality experience and want to bring their love of all things edible to the people of Shaftesbury.

The menu is full of unique and eclectic flavours, sometimes pairing items together that are different but work to provide delicious and unique flavour combinations.

Customers can enjoy brunch, nibbles, sides, mains and a takeaway menu. The dishes are bursting with flavours and are generous-sized portions, ensuring you’re not going to leave hungry.

Some of the foods you’ll find on the menu are the Mc Nest (pictured above), chicken satay salad, pork fillet and clams, pork belly bites, goan fish curry and more.

The takeaway menu offers flatbreads, burgers, poke bowls and a children’s menu, giving you lots of choices.

There are vegetarian options and gluten-free options available.

Nest allows you to dine in a comfortable environment and experience new, mouthwatering flavours. Another example of the different fusions you can enjoy is the cod and chips with an Indian twist (pictured above).

🍔 The menus change regularly to match the seasons and make room for new recipes to try, so some foods from this article may not be available, but new ones will :-).

A number of cocktails are on the menu, giving you lots of options for an aperitif. Other drink options are beers, ales, spirits, soft drinks and juices.
