Situated in the heart of the owner’s family farm, the cabin is surrounded by 22 acres of woodland, and guests have sole access to the cabin and surrounding areas, giving you lots of privacy and peace and quiet.
Nestled by a beautiful lake and with lovely views from the cabin, this accommodation is the ultimate getaway, and it won’t cost the earth to have this relaxing experience.
There’s a lovely, clear and private outside area with stunning views, a picnic area, and a wood burner.
There is a veranda overlooking the lake making it a perfect spot to enjoy dinner, sit with a coffee in the morning or have a glass of wine whilst the sun is setting.
The cabin is run off of solar panels so the owners do ask that you’re mindful of keeping lights on and other electronics whilst not in use.
There is no TV or wifi, adding to the rustic cabin-in-the-woods vibe. A perfect way to really switch off from any distractions and screen time.
The cabin is beautifully decorated to fit the surroundings with wood panelling and crisp white sheets.
The areas are free of clutter, and there is lots of storage for you to put your belongings. There are also fresh towels and basic toiletries available.
The property is only suitable for 2 guests based on a two-night minimum stay and is a great setting for a romantic break away; sometimes, one night doesn’t feel enough to unwind, so the two-night stay can refresh you, and you can really enjoy the accommodation.
There is lots of natural light with the many windows offering amazing views of the lake and woodland. The blinds on the window are room-darkening, so morning light shouldn’t be an issue.
For the colder months guests can enjoy the woodburner and cosy up listening to the crackling of the logs whilst reading a book or playing a game.
A bag of wood will be provided for the wood burner or the fire pit outside, and additional bags can be brought from the owners for a small charge.
The kitchen has everything you need for a short stay, including a fridge/freezer, gas burner and all the basic cooking utensils, pots and pans that you need.
However, there is no oven, but that’s not a problem as there is a BBQ for guests to use outside.
The bathroom has a large gas heated shower giving you lots of space to have a refreshing shower after a day of being out in nature.
There is also a compostable toilet in the bathroom, offering amazing views (even from the toilet!)
Foxes and deer can be spotted in the woodland and ducks are also present on the lake.
Free parking on the premises is available also.
This accommodation offers so much for someone looking to really get back to basics and spend some time in the forest with nothing but the trees, wildlife and quiet time away from home.
