Tucked away in West Dorset is a stunning treehouse nestled in the branches of an ancient oak tree.
Many people dreamed of sleeping in a treehouse when they were children, but now that dream can be lived in this adults-only secluded retreat for two.
Featuring highlights such as a rotating fireplace, pizza oven, sauna, and hot tub on the upper deck, this magical treehouse is somewhere you won’t forget.
The whole property is a mix of a cosy rustic vibe and the touches of luxury.
📍The Woodman Treehouse is located in the West Dorset countryside in Holditch.
Opened in 2016, the design was a collaboration between Guy Mallinson and Keith Brownlie of BEaM. It received the RIBA South West award and was named ‘Small Project of the Year.’
Additionally, it was showcased on both “George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces” and “Grand Designs House of the Year.”
The Treehouse is set over 2 floors and has an oak tree going through it.
At the heart of the treehouse is a wood burner. Perfect for those cosy nights.
There’s a fully equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso machine!
There’s a beautiful brass bathtub, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. You could even share a romantic bath with your partner.
There’s a cosy bedroom with a king-sized bed just off the central living area.
On the lower deck, there is an outdoor shower and hammock.
Can you imagine relaxing out there in the summer months, reading a book, and then cooling off in the shower?
Additionally, if you like pizza, you will be delighted to discover the outdoor oven, perfect for whipping up freshly made pizzas to enjoy under the stars. Delicious!
On the upper deck, you have the luxury of your very own sauna and hot tub.
