Woodyhyde Campsite is the perfect spot to go camping with your family and friends. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by stunning countryside and a picture-perfect view of the Swanage steam train.

Whether you’re after a lazy weekend away or looking for adventure, this campsite has it all.

Here’s what to expect at Woodyhyde campsite.

Nestled in the Purbeck countryside, Woodyhyde has been a family-run business since 1998.

The site has won a number of awards, including the David Bellamy Silver award and has been named the number one favourite coastal campsite for families by Cool Camping in Coast Magazine.

Set over 13 acres of land with three fields available, this is the perfect spot to enjoy time with your family and camp life.

There are 160 pitches over 3 fields. There are no set pitches, so you’re free to set up close to family and friends.

The site is open from March through to the end of October and is suitable for tents, campervans and motor homes.

There are over 100 electrical hookups available with 20 hardstanding suitable for campers and mobile homes.

The site is family orientated, and children are able to play around the site as there is plenty of space.

Dogs are also welcome, meaning you can bring the whole family along; they must be kept on leads and are only allowed in 2 of the fields.

The train going through the campsite is an exciting and beautiful addition. No matter how many times you see the traditional steam train chug through, the view will never get old.

If camping and having to put up a tent isn’t your style, then Woodyhyde offers a number of shepherd huts and yurts.

Complete with real beds, kitchenettes, electric and home comforts.

Woodyhyde offers shower and toilet facilities that are clean and spacious. The showers are gender separated and are easily accessible from all of the fields.

The onsite shop sells everything you need for your camping holiday. Offering fresh food, drinks, toys and any camping essentials you may have forgotten.

The staff are very helpful and give lots of advice on what to do around the area.

With the iconic Corfe Castle only 20 minutes away, country footpaths and the coastal town of Swanage close by, Woodyhyde is in an excellent location with lots to see and do.

This family friendly campsite has excellent views, facilities and a happy atmosphere throughout.
