Take Your Kids To This Adorable Family-Run Farm Park In Dorset For A Day They Won’t Forget

Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park has everything you could want for a fun-packed family day out. The farm is full of animals for you to enjoy, but that’s not the only thing to see here!

There’s a wide range of activities to do, you’ll find it hard to complete them all in a day.

With lots of indoor and outdoor activities, Farmer Palmer’s is an excellent day out and worth every penny when you see children with happy smiling faces.

With lots of daily events to enjoy, such as tractor rides, cow milking demonstrations and small animal petting slots, there is something that everyone in the family will have fun doing.

Whether it’s the first time or the 100th time at Farmer Palmer’s, you’re guaranteed to enjoy it and have the best day with your loved ones.

There are lots of areas full of animals for you to see. The Big Barn hosts the likes of donkeys, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, sheep and goats.

You can wander around the different pens, looking at the cute animals.

The animals are happy and running around in their large enclosures; some are unfazed by their audience, and others like to come and say hello.

During certain points in the day, you can grab some food and hand feed the animals; they go wild over the food, so be prepared.

Outside you can visit some more interesting and unique animals such as alpacas and emus, plus lots of lovely farmyard animals such as pigs, sheep and goats.

The space they have to roam around is vast, and the animals have lots of toys, swings and climbing frames to keep them entertained and happy.

If the great British weather isn’t holding up, then there is lots to do under shelter, making this a great day out all year round.

A large indoor soft play area will keep children entertained for hours and The Little Farmers Barn, which is perfect for smaller children and can be quieter than the soft play.

Another barn is home to the dumper trucks. Children can become little farmers by picking up the hay and transporting it around the barn.

A fun climbing area has been made with hay to add to the farmyard vibe. Climbing the hay and reaching the top will bring so much joy to little ones.

Bounce around on the indoor bouncy castle, nestled in the ‘8 years and under’ barn; children can use up their endless energy by jumping away, having fun and making friends.

There is lots of seating in this area also for parents, and tables if you want to enjoy your lunch or a coffee whilst the children play.

In warmer weather, there is a bouncy castle to play on outside also.

The outside play park is one of the best around with a wide range of play equipment to enjoy. From various swings, climbing frames, slides and see saws.

There is also a splash park for the warmer months; any child who enjoys water play will spend hours playing with the sprinklers and running water.

So remember to pack some spare clothes!

There are changing cubicles available in one of the barns.

Race your family and friends around the go kart track, with seats on the back for the little ones, there’s no excuse for anyone not to get involved.

A large area dedicated to handwashing is available; after everyone has finished playing and petting, they can wash their hands.

There are lots of areas for you to enjoy a picnic both indoors and outdoors.

The Hen House cafe has lots on offer and provides good, hearty home-cooked lunches, sandwiches, light bits and massive slices of delicious cakes and sweet treats.

There is lots of seating, and it’s very close to the soft play.

As well as everything else this amazing farm park has to offer, there are also lots of events throughout the year, including car boots, Disney days, Halloween and Christmas activities.

Throughout August, you can also camp at Farmer Palmer’s, giving you a unique place to camp for the night and one that you’ll never forget.

Most of the park is pushchair and wheelchair friendly so no one has to miss out when visiting.

There is also a gift shop selling lots of toys and farm merchandise.

Farmer Palmer’s is an excellent day out, and you won’t be disappointed with the massive amount that is on offer here.

From cute and fluffy animals to soft play and go-karts, everyone will be entertained and will get a good night’s sleep from all the outside fun.
