Sherborne is a beautiful little town bursting with character and charm.
Sitting proudly on the high street, you’ll find the brilliant Sherborne Antiques Market, a great place to explore with the many different displays and curiosities to admire.
With its ever-changing and fun window displays that celebrate events throughout the year and are guaranteed to get people talking, friendly owners and lots of stock, you’ll want to visit this amazing place when in Sherborne.
Don’t be afraid to explore this beautiful store with its endless charm and unique finds; we loved our visit there and spent lots of time exploring the treasures of Sherborne Antiques Market.
Set up by long-term dealers Phillip Traves and Craig Wharton, they have a wealth of knowledge in the antiques business along with over 30 other dealers, including experts from The Antiques Roadshow and Dickinson’s Real Deal.
All are covering their specialities, giving the antique market a good name with all the experience each dealer adds.
Every visit can be different with the endless supply of stock that’s on offer.
As you walk around the easily accessible space, you’ll notice lots of different nooks and areas that are full of beautiful antiques, art, books, curiosities and more.
Some of the collections will bring back memories and make you feel nostalgic, such as the vintage ladybird books and Beatrix Potter stories.
There’s a large section of vintage clothing and accessories.
It’s so interesting to look at classic fashion pieces, hats, bags and jewellery and wonder where they originated and who wore them in the past.
You can tell the owners are very passionate about antiques and filling their shop with items they love and know their customers will love, and high-quality stock is very important.
This creates an excellent community of people and is a lovely addition to the area. I believe you’ll be able to visit and be met with enthusiastic and friendly staff to answer any questions or chat.
Beautiful pieces of furniture are dotted around the shop, housing lots of trinkets, ornaments and vintage pieces.
A great spot for anyone interested in antiques, collectables or just wanting to treat themselves to something special.
Sparkling cabinets are full of jewellery, watches, and silver, kept safely and well looked after. Just ask a member of staff if you’re interested, and they’ll happily help you.
The shop is wheelchair and pushchair-friendly, and dogs are very welcome.
Sherborne Antiques Market is a rare interesting find in the fact it has lots of personality and is a welcoming space.
Suppose you’re ever worried that antiques may not be your thing but want to have a look around; it’s a safe space.
You won’t be bombarded or feel judged; it’s a relaxing and happy atmosphere which you can tell has lots of regulars who love talking with the friendly owners and staff.
