If you’re looking for an exciting and educational day out for all ages, then this hidden gem in Dorset is a must.

Xtreme Dorset Falconry Park hosts a wide range of birds of prey. See the birds in action, watch flying shows and book unique experiences.

Set on a rural 7-acre site, the park offers beautiful surroundings, tea rooms, a small shop and a stunning collection of birds.

With passionate owners and encounters that are sure to amaze you, this is an excellent day out for all.

Husband and wife team Martin and Tara Ballam opened the falconry in 2019.

Martin has worked in the industry for over 40 years and dreamt of opening up the park.

Along with their 3 children, they have built a family-run business and a haven for over 100 birds.

The park offers visitors to experience 2 daily flying shows running at 11am and 3.30pm.

Here, the staff offer informative and interesting talks about the birds. The passion, knowledge, love and attention the owners and staff have towards the birds show to give everyone a fun and enjoyable experience.

Visitors can expect to see owls, eagles, vultures, falcons, and more.

If you’re struggling with a gift idea for a special someone or just want to treat yourself, then why not book an experience session?

With various one-of-a-kind experiences on offer, it’s a fun and exciting time for all. Examples of what you can expect are:

Owl Encounter – Experience being up close with a beautiful and magical owl. Get a chance to meet, hold and fly an Owl.

VIP Family Session – An experience that features falcons, hawks and owls. Suitable for 2 adults and 2 children.

Ultimate Experience – Approximately an hour and a half long, this is the ultimate gift experience. Get involved with flying hawks and owls and have the opportunity to hold an eagle.

The park is an educational experience, yet fun and engaging. Everyone can learn about the breeding, rescue work and day to day life of the birds.

There are also tea rooms that offer hot/cold drinks, freshly made sandwiches, cakes, cream tea and more.

There are plenty of fantastic opportunities for photographers to capture the bird’s static and flying.

A picnic area and meadow are also available to explore.

Off-site visits are available to book, offering exciting experiences for all.

The team visit residential homes, schools, fetes, county shows and more, sharing the beauty, fun and wonder of the birds.
