If you’re looking for some family fun that won’t break the bank, then a visit to Nick’s Farm is a must.

Known as Bournemouth’s only petting farm, Nick’s Farm is packed full of beautiful farmyard animals that you can interact with and spend some time in a relaxed and happy environment.

📍Location: Valley Rd, Bournemouth BH8 0EB, United Kingdom

Situated in Holdenhurt Village in Bournemouth, this small but brilliant farm is a fantastic place to spend a morning or an afternoon.

At only £5 per person and under 2’s and carers free, the small price tag also makes it a cheap activity to do with your loved ones.

Children (and adults) will get so much enjoyment and can have an educational experience from spending time on the farm.

Founded in 2012, Nicks Farm is a family run farm and is bursting with friendly staff to help you and give you information about the farm animals.

Described as an inclusive oasis, Nick’s Farm welcomes all ages and abilities, giving everyone a fun experience and welcoming people to be themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.

There is a designated ‘cuddle corner’ where you can sit and spend some time with the likes of chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs. It’s a great experience and you’ll fall in love with the cute little furry friends.

There’s an area for you to wash your hands after petting the animals.

You can take a look around the variety of sheds and pens and see a host of different farmyard animals, such as pigs (and cute little piglets), chickens, peacocks, horses, geese, sheep and more.

The animals have lots of space for them to roam around and be free, and the staff are always on hand, cleaning out the pens and making sure the animals are safe, comfortable and happy.

There are rustic, small play areas for children to enjoy in an open and clear space.

They’ll love defeating the obstacle course and you’ll find it hard to drag them away.

A large open space with wooden tables and umbrellas is the perfect place for you to enjoy a picnic, giving everyone an extra boost of energy to explore the farm and the beautiful surrounding areas of Throop.

If your child loves the farm, then why not book their next birthday here? A fun, nature-inspired birthday is a unique and fun party idea.

Everyone is guaranteed to have a great time, being outside, eating party food and petting the animals.

There are also educational sessions for home-schooled children, a hands-on experience getting the children involved in farm life, enhancing social skills, keeping little imaginations alive and offering practical hands on learning.

Other events held here are meet a princess, magic shows and face painter days.

At the entrance there is a small shop with helpful staff, offering drinks, toys and even bags of food to feed to the animals as you go around the farm.

There is also an adopt an animal programme with a range of packages, such as the gold package, which offers a meet and greet and regular updates on your new friend.

Nick’s Farm is an exciting and interactive experience that everyone can enjoy. It’s a hidden gem in the picturesque Holdenhurst village, offering walks all around the area and lots of farm fun.

The happy animals are looked after in their enclosures and are very happy to come over to you and have a little stroke, some of them pushing their way through to get your attention!

If you haven’t visited yet, grab your wellies and some snacks and spend a great afternoon on the farm.
