Nestled in Westbourne’s beautiful arcade full of eclectic and independent shops, you’ll find the charming and unique Bournemouth Colosseum Cinema and Bar.

Said to be the smallest cinema in the UK, it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the high street and the bonus of a friendly pub.

Here’s all you should know about this quirky hidden gem in Bournemouth.

Westbourne Arcade is renowned for its gothic-style windows, cathedral-like appearance and pretty shops.

This independent and interesting pub in the heart of it adds to the charm of the arcade and offers lots in the way of entertainment.

Visitors can have a night off and go for a few drinks, socialise with friends and watch a movie, all in the comfort of a warm and welcoming venue.

The bar is decorated in a quirky style with ‘brewery-related collectables’ covering the walls and ceilings.

The small bar is packed with character, and everyone is welcome, whether you’re seeing a movie or not.

The staff are all friendly and relax you whilst you unwind with a drink.

Serving a wide range of draught beer, ciders, wines and spirits, you’re guaranteed to find your favourite tipple.

If catching a film, you’ll be welcomed downstairs into this cosy little nook, made homely with comfy carpets and movie posters hanging in the hallway.

3 movie screens in the Colosseum can accommodate up to 30 guests. Cinema 1 has a 97-inch projector screen with surround sound that consists of 13 speakers.

Cinemas 2 & 3 also have large screens and surround sound. The rooms are cosy and are a ‘home from home’ with the bonus of a bar.

This will be a perfect date night spot or a unique night out for film buffs.

Sinking into the cool leather sofas or individual chairs, guests can choose from two films per day, with an afternoon showing and another in the evening.

The films are a mix of genres, new movies and old classics.
